1940 Buick Special Model 46 Business Coupe for sale in our Indianapolis Showroom. This 40 Model 46 is powered by an in-line 8 cylinder Dynaflash engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Options on this 1940 Buick Special Model 46 Business Coupe for sale include: AM Radio Cloth Interior and Wide White Wall Tires wrapped around Steel Wheels with Hub Caps. This 1940 Buick Business Coupe is offered for sale with less than 5000 miles since the restoration and comes with a written history of the restoration. The restoration took 4 years to complete and began in 1980. The extensive restoration included a color change from Black to a Red Dupont Centari Acrylic Enamel with a Polyurethane additive. The body was removed from the frame and the chassis was sand blasted acid etched primed and painted. During the restoration the engine was bored .020 over and received: new rod and main bearings pistons timing gears exhaust valves water pump and hoses. The classic also received a new clutch throw-out bearing motor mounts fuel pump gas lines brake lines/hoses wheel cylinder/springs/hoses and a master cylinder at the time of restoration. The transmission oil pump starter and generator were also rebuilt at the time of restoration. This is a very high end example of a hard to find 1940 Model 46 Business Coupe. The classic is very period correct and offers a step starter and three-on-the-tree 3-speed manual transmission. The car runs and drives great. The engine is very quiet and smooth.
