Up for sale in our Fort Lauderdale Showroom is a desirable 1974 Plymouth Satellite Tribute Road Runner. The Road Runner was a performance based car produced by Plymouth from 1968 to 1980. Its initial concept was to take the muscle car back to its basic form a cheap car with a big motor and a quarter mile time under seconds. Which by the way the Road Runner came through on all accounts. Consequently the Road Runner outsold the heavily optioned more expensive GTX the back to basics idea worked. Plymouth did pay Warner Bros. $50000 for permission to use the name and likeness of their popular cartoon character Road Runner and even shelled out $10000 to develop the beep beep horn. One walk around this Road Runner and you will quickly appreciate the condition and the care that went into this 1974 Road Runner classic muscle car. This 74 Plymouth Satellite tribute Road Runner has a very good Plum Crazy Purple paint job to catch the onlookers eyes. A new body style arrived with the 1971-74 model. The new design showed more curves and it looked a bit more like the â??Cudas and Challengers. The start of 1971 was considered the beginning of the end for muscle cars. Stricter emission standards were already starting to take effect. And as the years went on it only became worse. This 1974 Plymouth has a strong 340 engine that came in Roadrunner those years. Backed behind that 340 engine is a 3 speed automatic transmission moving you around the street. When you have the sun gleaming off of the smooth clean Plum Crazy Purple and your are cruising there comes a time to stop and that is no problem on this Plymouth. Because this Roadrunner tribute has 4 wheel slotted disc brake stopping will not be a problem. This 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner Tribute has some very nice custom chrome wheels with tires that have excellent tread.
