This gorgeous 1950 Dodge Pickup is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Starting in 1948 Dodge released there and first post war truck the B series. Available in several variants from the B1-B 1/2 ton little trucks all the way to huge people movers known as Suburbanâ??s. The flathead engines were rated anywhere from 95 to 108 hp. This one has come long way from those flathead days now boasting a 4.3 V6 that easily pouts out double those numbers. The truck was built with the intent to drive it and if you ever drove a 50 dodge truck comfort is not one of their strong points. With that being said the decision was made to sit the Dodge body on top of a 98 S10 chassis. It would then have all the comforts you want in daily life with the look to compete in a car show on the weekend. A cab was sourced as well as a chassis and the fab work would begin. The fab work was easier than he thought with the cab and bed pretty much mounting right up. The body was in good shape so the custom orange paint was laid down and gives this truck a very unique look. The light ash wood bed was next to go in and looks great against the orange paint. Inside the cab is a nice mixture of old and new. The door panels have been accented with a splash of dress up items in brushed aluminum and the window switches for the power windows. The upper section of the metal dash remains with the S10 dash being worked over to fit nicely in the space below it. By using the majority of the mechanicals and wiring form the S10 everything is in good working order in this bright Orange Dodge Pickup truck. The cloth power seats are straight from the S10 so they function and look good! If you are looking for the old school look of an older pickup but with the reliability and options of a modern Pickup then stop looking and call now! This one wonâ??t last long.
