VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1981 Jeep CJ5 for sale in Englewood, Colorado

The Jeep CJ5 is an iconic short-wheel base, go-anywhere 4x4! But just because it can get you deep into the wild, doesnt mean it shouldnt look nice out on the town also. One of our favorite parts is the amount of work the owner has taken to POWDER COAT MANY parts: from the underside of the Tub,to all of the suspension and Axle components, this CJ5 will look great no matter the extreme conditions you put it through. Thats why the new Yellow and Black radiates no matter if the sunlight finds it at the campsite or the corner market. Dont let the shiny paint job of this Jeep fool you though, it has been frame off restored to be a upgraded version of its factory condition. Climbing into the new 3R-Racing seats youll notice they are just as comfortable as they look. Surrounding the seats is a collection of correct Jeep parts complete with a roll bar The almost NEW bikini top also coordinates in black for a terrific total look. The correct Stock/Upgraded look continues under the hood with the reinforced aluminum valve cover and air cleaner radiating from within the engine bay. But more than just for looks, the Rebuilt 258 cubic-inch inline-six motor is a long established power plant for Jeep and this one runs like a top! It has proven its reliability, and it continues to have easy parts availability. Torquey and robust, this is the engine you want pulling through daily traffic or the worst slop Mother Nature can throw at you. And the stainless header that feeds the exhaust upgrades the motors soundtrack nicely. The four-speed manual transmission gives you full control as it feeds the two-speed transfer case and seriously beefy Dana 44s at both ends. 3:73 gears and low range give it rock-crawling stability, but thanks to the modern BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires and front disc brakes, its comfortable in the urban scene, too. This Jeep has been meticulously restored and needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Since the build has been completed it has NOT been taken off-road but with that being said it is ready to tackle any adventure you can throw at it.
