Though the SHO got a redesign from the first-generation model in 1992, it retained the same drivetrain: a 220-horsepower 3.0-liter naturally aspirated DOHC V6 built by Yamaha, sending power to the front wheels via five-speed manual transmission. Automatic equipped cars came with a different 3.2L engine inspired by Yamaha and the extra displacement was meant to make up for transmission power loss on the automatic cars. With less than 75,000 actual miles, this Tauras has plenty of life left on its extremely reliable drivetrain.
