Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this all original 1977 Pontiac Trans Am. The 1977 was the year that the American Muscle car would begin to make its come back. Pontiac was at the forefront of this movement with its all new W72 option for its formula and T/A Firebirds. The option would use the 400 L78 block but would have the 350 Hi Compression heads which increased to 91 CCs. The compression was also upped to an astounding 8.2:1 ratio which was big news in 77. A high-performance Cam was used as well giving the TA a unique loping idle. Fitted with a Rochester 800 CFM carb getting enough fuel will never be a problem. As with most of these high revving small blocks a high-pressure oil pump was used ensuring good oil flow at the higher RPMs. With the motor putting out good HP and a ton of torque this T/A is ready rip off some nice and Smokey burn outs. This Silver bird has never been to the ashes and risen again as this rare find is all original. The bird on the hood is in near perfect shape with that classic shaker hood and 6.6 T/A markings reminding everyone that this is the last of American muscle. The odometer has the actual mileage on the vehicle at 138,019. The Silver paint is in in unbelievable condition especially for its age. Under the hood is the original Pontiac 400 CID V8 engine with 1,000 miles on the rebuilt. The exterior of this W72 Firebird is in a drive condition. The car has been with the owner for 10+ years and they have taken pride in caring for her.
