VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1931 Oakland Sedan for sale in Alpharetta, Georgia

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is very excited to offer this 1931 Oakland V-8 Two-Door Sedan. Painted in the original Omaha Orange and Tampa Red 2-tone color scheme, she looks better than the day she rolled off the assembly line! This extra fine example is factory original including chassis, engine, drivetrain, Fisher Body over an oak frame, wire wheels, glass, trim, headlamps, and instruments. It would not be a stretch - to state -you may not find a better example. Just her elegance will grab you, from the grill to the long hood, right to the trunk - you will find yourself staring. What really gets GCC excited, is to know the caretaker has been so detailed in all that was not only done to her restoration wise, but he also went that extra-extra mile in his goal, that the next owner will be able to know exactly what part numbers, where to buy, and the cost at todays costs are to rebuilt her again. Weve witnessed caring owners in the past, but this guy may take the cake - she comes with all the photos, slides, and diagrams he could have acquired! You can speak as an expert, with a bit of studying - for what you get when you take this one home. She is powered by Flathead V-8 251 cu in, rated at 85-hp, with Marvel single carb, top-side exhaust manifold, with just consignor stated 500-miles since rebuild. Oakland was concerned about the vibrations the cars of the day had - and engineered a right-side mechanical synchronizer lever attached to the engine and frame - to counter engine shake, and reduce vibration. She is mated to a 3-speed synchromesh transmission. The Oakland V-8 was a racy engine in its day, reaching 70+-mph! To drive this baby, is a treat, as she runs and drives great, and the looks and thumbs up youll get - put a smile on everyones face! Options include Cloth Interior, Fold-Back Canvas Top, Touring Trunk, Wire Wheels, Optional Side-Mount Dual Spare Tires, Dual Tire Mounted Mirrors.
