Used 1967 Volkswagen Beetle for sale in Kenosha, Wisconsin
Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is excited to announce the addition of this 1967 Volkswagen Beetle convertible to our Consignment inventory. The Beetle was first produced in the 1930s with the intentions of becoming the “peoples car or Volkswagen in German. Volkswagen was the brainchild of Adolf Hitler to produce a reliable vehicle for the hardworking people of Germany, and a car that was not only inexpensive but safe to drive. In fact, the Beetle was to be mass produced and sell for 1000 Reich Marks or about $140. Unfortunately, by 1939 World War II had begun ending production of the Beetle shortly after the first car came off the assembly line. After the war ended, Allies helped resurrect the German auto industry to become a global enterprise. At first sales were slow due to the Nazi connection, but by 1975 Volkswagen was the largest vehicle importer in the United States. Reaching an incredible fifteen million units sold to date. Our 1967 Volkswagen Beetle convertible Type 1 is a fine example of the “peoples car. The engine is an air cooled 1500cc H4 attached to a four- speed manual transmission. Attractive pale- yellow paint and black interior with a matching convertible top make this Beetle convertible a must have. This 1968 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible also comes with its parade boot. Whether you are a Beetle enthusiast or looking for a little fun in the sun this convertible fits the bill! This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle is available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video.
