This 1959 Studebaker Lark VIII is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The lark was a compact car produced by the Studebaker-Packard corporation from 1959-1962 when the company dropped the Packard name all together the Lark was there number one selling car during that time. It is easy to see why with this example being very correct for the time. The dark burgundy interior Is a great contrast from the white exterior which gives the car a classy look. The inside has been covered in a dark burgundy vinyl that shows nicely. The biggest thing you see inside is a period correct CB phone something that was a bigger than life option in 1959. This one still works if you can find another CB friendly person. Under the hood is Studebakers 259 v8 which was a sought after choice turning these little econo cars into rather quick grocery getters. Mated upto a 3 speed auto the car was set to do hardlaps at the house. With the smaller size of the lark made it catch the attention of many families. It was not to long after its inception that the lark nameplate would vanish as well.
