VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1971 Plymouth Barracuda for sale in OFallon, Illinois

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this mean Sassy Grass Green 1971 Plymouth Barracuda presented in our St. Louis showroom. The Plymouth Barracuda is a two-door car that was manufactured by Plymouth from the 1964 1/2 to 1974 model years. The first-generation Barracuda, a fastback A-body coupe based on the Plymouth Valiant, had distinctive wraparound back glass and was available from 1964 1/2 to 1966. The second-generation 1967 to 1969 Barracuda, though still Valiant-based, was heavily redesigned. Second-generation A-body cars were available in fastback, notchback, and convertible versions. This car you see today was originally a 318 car but was long gone before the restoration took place to this gorgeous machine. This second generation 1971 Barracuda is not a numbers matching car, but it is one bad ass looking and running machine. The engine is a built 440 with Aluminum Edelbrock Heads and a set of Hooker Headers bolted to them. It is backed by a Tremec Magnum 6 speed transmission with a pistol grip on top to make it a blast to bang through the gears. The Barracuda was changed slightly for 1971, with a new grille and taillights, seat, and trim differences. This would be the only year that the Barracuda would have four headlights, also the only year of the fender gills on the Cuda model. The most popular items from the remodel on the 71 model Barracudas was the cheese grader grill and the gills on the fenders. The exterior color is Sassy Grass Green which is one of the most popular colors from the choice of high impact colors available at this time. The Sassy Grass Green is complimented very nicely by the black interior and black body stripes denoting the 440 engine that sits under the hood. This 1971 Cuda is true example of classic Mopar muscle and is ready for a new home and can be yours! This 1971 Plymouth Barracuda is presented in our St. Louis Showroom and can be seen in great detail including 100+ HD Pictures and an HD video at gatewayclassiccars.com.
