VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1969 Pontiac GTO for sale in Coral Springs, Florida

NEW PRICE! Hurry- This is a VERY NICE, REAL GTO! Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is pleased to present this far out 1969 Pontiac GTO. This one was born a real 4237 VIN GTO and features a neat semi-custom paint scheme with blue flames. The body looks great, as do the panel gaps and Endura nose. It is a sharp goat, no doubt. For you purists out there, it was code 65-65 (Antique Gold) originally, with no vinyl top. Now, shes JET black, with eye catching, subtle blue flames. Looks like a fighter jet ready to spank a few would be challengers, and defend the GTO legacy. This car rips it. Under the hood you will find the original YS code 400 per the Seller, and large valve 62 heads (72cc), with matching J188 date codes. The 69 GTO base 400 was rated at a conservative 350 horses, with stump pulling 445 ft. lbs. of torque. These cars not only look great, but they are a pleasure to drive, or reduce the rear tires to a pile of burnt rubber. Power finds its way to the asphalt through a 10-bolt rear. 4-wheel discs help assure a safe stop. The owner indicates only a 2-owner history, and the original 400 engine and THM400 auto were rebuilt 1000 miles ago, as well as ground up restoration including powder coating the frame, and a few suspension upgrades. He also indicates all original GM panels on the car. The black interior looks great. This one is the recipient of one of the cool 67-68 Hurst Dual Gate shifters. Always neat to see vintage stuff like that. Nothing quite like looking out over the bulging hood and fenders on 68-69 GTOs. One could even add the factory hood tach if wanted. The 1969 GTO grew up a bit with a more modern dash, better cylinder heads, no more vent windows, and updated grills / rear bumper. It was the first year for The Judge model, as well as the RAIII & RAIV engines. This is a car you can have fun with- and save a ton of money over a far more costly Judge version. It will surely get the looks- and represent a time, and manufacturer no longer made. We all miss Pontiac, with their untouchable early 60s track records and groovy cars. But fortunately, many survived the era and we are always happy to have them.
