Used 1970 AMC Hornet for sale in Kenosha, Wisconsin
Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this locally built 1970 AMC Hornet. Proudly built miles from our Kenosha showroom. American Motors replaced what was formally known as Rambler in 1970. The Hornet would become American Motors flagship car from 1970-1977. As a matter of fact, the Hornet platform served AMC in one form or another for 18 years. Such models as the Gremlin, Concord, Spirit, and the all-wheel drive Eagle were derived from the Hornet. Marketed as a family compact, the Hornet was manufactured in two-door, four door and wagon configurations. With engine sizes running from a 199 cubic inch I6 to a 360 cubic inch power- house. American Motors marketed the Hornet in direct competition with what was to become the threatening foreign compact car battle of the 1970s. Our Sublime Green 1970 AMC two-door Hornet is a real head turner. Accented with period black accent stripes. The all new interior compliments handsomely with two-tone black and matching Sublime Green seats and new black carpet. Green accent lighting adds to awesome color scheme. Under the hood is 318 cubic inch V-8 attached to a RR833 4-speed manual transmission. All attached to an 8 3/4 rear end. The engine and transmission have about 3000 miles on them since being rebuilt. Newer components have been added such as electronic ignition, newer radiator, and voltage regulator. After market gauges and a nice AM/FM/CD radio complete the package. Being a real head turner, this 1972 AMC Hornet is not going to last long. Now is the time to own your piece of American Motors history. This 1970 AMC Hornet is available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video.
