Used 1962 Chevrolet Corvette for sale in Alpharetta, Georgia
Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1. The Chevrolet Corvette (C1) is the first generation of the Corvette sports car produced by Chevrolet. It was introduced late in the 1953 model year and produced through 1962. This generation is commonly referred to as the solid-axle generation, as the independent rear suspension did not appear until the 1963 Stingray. Powering this Corvette is a 327-cubic-inch displacement valve-in-head V8s with 4.0 bore and 3.25 stroke, precision balanced as an assembly. Backing this 327 V8 is the rare 3-Speed Synchro-Mesh transmission with a floor-mounted gearshift. The outer body was made from then-revolutionary glass fiber reinforced plastic material. This Corvette has been painted in “Sixty-Six Silver and has black leather interior. 1962 saw the last solid-rear-axle suspension, that had been used from the beginning. Rocker panel trim was seen for the first time, exposed headlights for the last, until 2005. Options on this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1 include: AM Radio, Manual Convertible Top, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, Radial Tires, and White Walls. This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1 is being offered by our Atlanta Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
