Gateway Classic Cars of Detroit is proud to present this 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 for sale. This beautiful Z28 is Blue PPG base coat clear coat that was completed in 1987 so it is showing a little age but still has a deep shine but could use a little TLC. Built with the Pro-Street look in mind it is a big tire car with coil-overs and a Dana 60 rear end that has been narrowed it has a Detroit Locker center section with 4:56 gears. It features Mark Williams racing axles. The front suspension is stock other than the coil springs. The motor is a Merlin 3 block bored 0.30 with a forged crank, rods, and pistons. It has a hydraulic roller cam. The heads are Rectangular Port Merlins with SS valves and K motion springs. The carb is a Quick fuel 1050 with a single-plane gasket matched intake. The ignition is all MSD. The transmission is a Tremec 5-speed with overdrive. It has a steel flywheel and bell housing. The body has all original steel, only the fender lips of the rear quarters were modified for the larger tires. The seller tells us that there are a few things that need attention on the car. The car has a heater core and blower, but it is not working. The horn is not hooked up. There is a wire and a switch, but it never got hooked up. The wipers are not working everything is there, but I never needed them the seller tells us. And the car has a fuel cell but there is no sending unit to the gauge so that does not work.
