Willys was well known for making reliable off-road vehicles for civilian and military applications. After WWII ended Jeep was ready to unveil a truck that would become iconic even today. The Willys Overland Pickup debuted in 1947 and would see production until 1965 before it was replaced by the Gladiator. Here we have a 55 model. Walking around it you cant help but be enthralled by Eastwoods Tropical Sunset Orange Pearl paint, has a great shine and is in very nice shape. The Orange and coffee colored leather interior blends well with the color tones and is in great shape. As you pop the hood you will quickly tell this isnt your grandfathers pickup. Lurking under the hood is a 5.3L LS V8 engine out of a 2002 Silverado. Power is running down through a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. This truck received a frame off restoration in 2018 and has not had 1100 miles elapse since the restoration. Truck received a new bed, floor pans and rocker panels. Tons of custom work was put into this truck. The following was all custom: frame, exhaust, wheels, interior, bed, bed wood, paint, widened fenders, rear filler pans, and bronze tinted glass! The top was chopped, and 4-wheel disc brakes added. She is sporting a 8.5 GM rear end with 3.42 gear ratio and having posi-traction doesnt hurt! She even has air conditioning!
