VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1967 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in Grapevine, Texas

Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is excited to offer This 1967 Camaro SS Restomod. This custom creation is for the guy or gal who likes an aggressive approach where the hardware is effective but the look is classic and not over-wrought. With a crate 383 stroker V8 under the hood, a really nice custom interior with A/C, and plenty of attitudes, you can have a lot of fun with this car and not have to sweat the little stuff. The cool thing about first-generation Camaros is that they can be anything from a grocery getter to a fire-breathing road course monster. Most of them fall in the middle, with cars like this sinister Hugger Orange coupe making up a vast majority of the F-bodies youll see at shows and cruise nights around the country. Its really nice, too, with a great paint job over some nice sheet metal that means pros did the work, not some guy in his garage on weekends. They added an SS hood, which should have been standard equipment because it looks so right and with a professional cut and buff, this thing is a real show-stopper. A proper blacked-out SS grille up front combines with the badges on the front fenders to make it impossible to mistake this Camaro for anything else on the road, and the white bumble bee stripe on the front end breaks up the orange paint just enough, while the ducktail spoiler out back adds even more aggressiveness. Chrome and bright trim are in great shape because its all-new, and I, for one, am a fan of the front vent windows, which disappeared after 1967 but make a big difference in interior comfort. The custom tan interior is simply gorgeous and offers a few choice upgrades that make this an awesome long-distance hauler. It features power bucket seats borrowed from a late model that were wrapped in custom vinyl upholstery, a matching rear seat, matching door panels, and fresh black carpets, that all work together to deliver a killer modern look. The factory center console was painted to match the seats and houses the shifter for the 700R4 automatic below, and the matching tan dash features the same color combination. Factory gauges were swapped in favor of digital units and look wicked, and those windows are actually power actuated, with the switches neatly hidden away in the center console. It has a fully functional modern A/C system, a great-sounding retro-style AM/FM/AUX stereo with speakers in the rear package shelf, and a slightly fatter rim on the custom billet steering wheel. The rear seat looks almost new and the spacious trunk is properly outfitted with a fitted carpet that fits rather well. One glance under the hood will tell you where all the money was spent. Its a crate 383 cubic inch stroker V8 with a host of upgrades designed to make it fast, fun, and reliable. There are aluminum heads, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, and 600CFM 4-barrel carburetor, and a Petronix ignition, all punctuated by bright pieces like the copper-colored valve covers and matching air cleaner. A custom serpentine belt drive for the accessories ensures reliability on the road and there are dual electric fans for the BeCool aluminum radiator upfront. Things like power 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes that includes a repalced Brake Booster, power steering, the tubular A-arm suspension, the 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, and the 4-link and coilovers outback were all designed to make this vintage Camaro feel a lot more contemporary. Long-tube headers feed a great-sounding Flowmaster dual exhaust system and the stance is exactly right thanks to slick 18-inch wheels with SS spinners wrapped in staggered 245/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear Michelin Pilot Sport performance rubber.A wonderful build with a lot of great features, this Restomod Camaro gets almost everything right and delivers the driving experience youve always wanted from your vintage F-body.
