Lee Iacocca, who was the head of Chrysler at the time, wanted to compete with Mercedes in the roadster category in an effort to overcome their blue-collar image. So they collaborated with Alejandro De Tomaso (owner of Maserati) on the TC roadster. At its inception the 1989 TC used a slightly detuned 2.2 liter turbocharged inline 4 cylinder out of a Dodge Daytona. For the 1990 and 1991 models they switched to a Mitsubishi sourced 3.0 liter V6 and 4 speed automatic transmission. There are many resemblances to a LeBaron but even on a good day, a LeBaron would arguably never look this good. Finished in a black exterior with a luxurious tan leather interior, the wood and chrome accents make this car a stunner. This car has 73,140 miles on the odometer and has been well cared for.
