Gateway Classic Cars of Denver is proud to present this Beautiful 1989 Pontiac Firebird XSFirebird SSA / XS (1989) (SSA was the sport appearance package (exclusive to only a few states, I think CA was one of them) they gave to V6 Firebirds in 89. The Bird has the TA and Anniversary. ground effects on it but has a 2.8 with the 700 R trans. Firebirds in the Los Angeles area had Firebird XS emblems on the front fender. The San Francisco/Sacramento zone had Firebird SSA emblems. These dropped to just the Firebird emblem later in this year. Taillights remained the same as the Firebirds without the Sport Appearance Package. Aero kit (with both front and rear bumpers) was the same as the Trans Am.This Low mile, clean CarFax XS Firebird is in very nice condition and very collectable. These Firebirds were created by Pontiac and used with the intention of taking them SCCA racing. This street version comes equipped with all the creature comfort goodies such as AC, PS, PB, PW, PL, CD / AM/FM radio and Tilt steering.
