Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1963 Ford Falcon Ranchero! While many are familiar with the El Camino and think it was the first of its kind in 1959, that is incorrect. Ford did it first with the Ranchero in 1957. Adapted from a 2-door Wagon it integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body. Over half a million would be produced up until 1979 across 7 generations. Here we have a 1963, 3rd year of the 2nd generation. This body style drew the design off Fords Falcon which made the Ranchero much smaller. The black paint looks very sharp. The chrome is nice and bright, and the bed is lined. The American Racing gunmetal gray 17x8 Torq-Thrust 2 wheels wrapped in 235/45/R17 Raptor Riken Tires gives her a great stance! The red vinyl interior contrasts well with the black exterior and is in great shape. Powering this Ford is a 302ci V8 believed out of a 1986 Mustang with cam duration 282/282 lift 498/498. Power is routed down through a T5 5-speed manual transmission out of a 98 Mustang and has a new clutch. 8.8 rear end from an 03 Explorer with 3:73 gear ratio narrowed to 53 inches by Moser. Other items in the nice build include: Parallel adjustable rear 4-Link, 4 corner adjustable coilovers, power steering (new gearbox and column), Holley electric fuel pump, Edelbrock 650cfm carburetor, Magnaflow 2.5 side exhaust, Vintage air with controls in factory location, Line-X Bedliner, Retrosound Radio w/1000 watt amp and 2x 10 subs behind seat, Dolphin gauges (all electric), and Champion aluminum radiator w/electric fan. Car runs, drives, and shifts out well and sure has a nice exhaust note! Current owner has had her for under a year, acquired from a private party in Alabama.
