Moving from the famous turbocharged C4 design to the Roots-style supercharger for 2006, the new design offered improved durability, easier maintenance, emission compliance, and instant off-idle power. Covered in a gloss black with a silver stripe this Corvette has the look that warns others to beware. This Calloway Corvette is the SC616 version (616 horsepower) LS2 6.0 liter V8 but has been upgraded a little more via long tube headers and a healthier camshaft all tuned to provide performance and reliable daily drivability. The result is instantaneous throttle response that has a negative effect on the life of the rear tires. Backing this potent power plant is a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission along with a stronger holding triple disk clutch.
