Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is excited for the opportunity to represent this 1963 Jaguar Series I E-Type Semi-Lightweight Coupe. Restored to Pebble Beach Quality in 2008, this fixed headlight coupe (FHC) example was originally campaigned in England back in the day followed by two decades of racing on the West Coast of the United States, frequently raced in the Monterey Historics. In recent years it has seen light track use and kept in private collections, including David Hobbs showroom as the physical marketing prop for Disney Pixars movie, Cars 2, playing David Hobbscap!Powering this historic right hand drive racer is a race built Inline 3.8 liter 6-Cylinder Twin Cam utilizing Triple Weber 48 DCOE Carburetors boasting 300+ HP which really moves this ~2350lb Lightweight race car. Upgrades to the driveline are extensive, and all parts were either replaced or rebuilt in 2008. Vintage logbooks show this is a Steel Monocoque Chassis with Aluminum bonnet, doors, boot skin, and Lexan windshield and windows.
